why are deals delayed before being posted

that gets posted price is already fixed and OOS..
whats the point of the site if there is delays?

The delays are due to how the data is received. With over 7 million items, the scanner cannot constantly update each item. What happens is scanned prices get queued up before they are sent to the scanner for processing. Then the scanner processes a large group of these at a time. This is why there are some delays.

I've been considering seeing if it would be possible for users of the site to help in the scanning by running a program to update the prices in the database, however there are some issues with this as well.
