smiits,

Thanks for this app. When the app finds the item, which page does it take you to? The one with the description? I got a transaction blocked message.

Thanks Smitts for making our lives easier. But, i have a humble and honest request. For tomorrow, where everyone is going to vie for wii, could we have a version from last night (where people had to click 'continue', then 'confirm' button)? The last version had the thrill and competition of clicking two buttons to get the deal. With today's updated version, its all about your computer and network speed. Thanks for all what you have done for us!

That seems like an odd request. Such a regression would make it pretty much impossible to win. You're not just competing with other people who have this script. You're also competing with other (private) scripts that are either faster or can auto-confirm.

I was totally against scripting until it became painfully clear that the playing field is so stacked towards the scripters that there is virtually no way to win anymore without scripting as well.

You probably need the .NET framework runtime.

I agree. I tried several hours before I gave up doing it the right way.....

Sounds like this would make it even more difficult to win. Would just waste more time.

Transaction blocked just means someone already bought it. These things are going so quickly that most of the time its gone by the time the scanner picks it up. Every so often you'll get a commit screen. Even then, it may be gone before you've committed to buy.

Well at least there is some hope...Where before there was no hope.

I don't have a Mac, but if you're at all technically inclined you might want to try installing "darwine" (Windows compatibility layer) and "mono" (.NET Framework distribution). Mono would generally be sufficient for .NET programs, but I saw some calls into Windows .dlls, which would most likely require darwine.

Even with these installed, it might not work. wine/darwine and mono do a great job but they don't have 100% parity with Windows/.NET.

Default Buttons?

What exactly should we be looking for when it finds a item? A buy now button and a confirm to buy now? Or does the program do some of that for you?

I've downloaded the file and installed. It took me to the ebay login page so I logged in and then clicked Start. Right now I'm on my summary page in the program and there is something on the bottom that says "status loading inventory webpage" and has a counter (it's just passed 300).

Is the program working correctly or am I missing something? Will the page change once the product becomes available?
